Every kiddo needs a good friendly dentist for their first dental visit, which usually occurs somewhere between 18 months and 2 years, as long as we have done a good job avoiding too many sticky sweets and encouraged good tooth brushing for little Johnny or Jenny. The first visit should be not much more than counting teeth, making sure that the teeth that have yet to come in have enough space to do so, and a quick simple tooth cleaning, often with a toothbrush. After that, expect a cool new kid’s toothbrush and some neat small toys and stickers for the little one.
