Dr. Sergonis grew up in New Jersey, and went to Lehigh for her undergraduate degree in biology. She then attended Robert Wood Johnson medical school. She completed her pediatric residency at Wash U in St. Louis. She then worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she cared for hospitalized children. She then worked at Bryn Mawr Hospital where she provided ER, well baby, and inpatient pediatric care. She is looking forward to helping to care for the Puffin community starting in 2026!

She lives with her husband and 3 young children in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle. Her and her family love exploring Seattle.

  • Associate Director of Inpatient Pediatrics, Campus Chief of Pediatrics, & Pediatric Hospitalist, Bryn Mawr Hospital (Main Line Health System, Nemours & CHOP Affiliate), 2018-2023  

    • Provided inpatient, emergency, and newborn care to pediatric patients

    • Held faculty appointments at Temple, Jefferson, and the University of Pennsylvania

    • Directed hospitalist team of 8 pediatricians.  

      • Created schedule and ensured adequate staffing for 3 different services

      • Recruited, onboarded, and supported team members through transition from Nemours to CHOP leadership

      • Developed QI goals and metrics with the Department Chair and presented quarterly data to CHOP and Main Line Health leadership

      • Created and updated pediatric policies, clinical pathways, and protocols

    • Site director for medical students and residents rotating on inpatient pediatrics

    • Hospital Committee member - Medical Operations, Clinical Operations, Pediatric Executive, Pediatric QI, Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity, Pediatric Unit Council
