We are always happy to see any kiddo but if your family is not part of the plans listed above we are considered out of network or may be self pay only. Due to our hybrid model we are not allowed to bill HMO, Tricare, or Medicaid plans directly. If you have these plans but still would like to be part of the clinic families can pay at time of service and we can provide patients with a superbill that the patient and family can submit for reimbursement if their plan allows.

At Puffin Pediatrics we understand that there is nothing more important than your child. We know that you spend endless time and energy seeking out the best opportunities and resources for your children. As Seattle parents ourselves, we too were frustrated with not being able to see our child’s doctor in a timely manner when they were sick. Frustrated with endlessly waiting on hold to schedule appointments or ask a question, and upset when we were directed to seek out an urgent care or emergency room for something that could have been easily taken care of at their primary care clinic. Which is why we started Puffin Pediatrics in order to provide Seattle families with the absolute best in pediatric care and customer service.
And while insurance covers many of the services we provide at Puffin Pediatrics, coverage is not comprehensive. As such, we ask that our patients pay a small monthly/annual membership and administration fee to allow us to keep our clinic small to provide for unparalleled access to clinic, as well as cover the many services we happily provide but for which we are not fully compensated.
These include, but are not limited to, 24/7 phone, text and email access to Dr. Fradkin, same day sick visits, extended visits, use of advanced minimally invasive diagnostic testing technology, 100% thimerosal free, single dose vial vaccines (preservative free) with the lowest aluminum content and most favorable side effect profiles available, timely completion of all school and camp forms, pharmacy call-ins for refills and new medications, and in office phlebotomy services.
The membership fee also gives families access to the “Puffin Pack” an online resource for health and wellness just for Puffin Pediatrics clinic families. Including free parenting and health classes and community discounts and cost savings for goods and services for your family.

The monthly administration and membership fee varies for each family and is based on the number of children in a family and their ages:
0 - 2 years old - $95
3 - 5 years old - $85
6 - 11 years old - $75
12 and up - $65
Family Max - $175
Administration and membership fees can be paid monthly or annually. If paid annually families receive a discount.

Yes! Many grandparents or family friends happily pay some or all of the administration and membership fees for our patients and families. Looking for a great baby shower present for new parents? Because we are a smaller practice by choice we are able to see patients more often for their well visits allowing for increased spacing of vaccines while still being in accordance with CDC and AAP recommended guidelines for vaccinations. Our vaccine schedule is as follows:
2 Month Visit - Vaxelis, Pneumococcal, RotaTeq (oral)
4 Month Visit- Vaxelis, Pneumococcal, RotaTeq (oral)
6 Month Visit - Vaxelis, Pneumococcal, RotaTeq (oral)
12 Month Visit - MMR, Varicella
15 Month Visit - Pneumococcal, DtaP, Hib
18 Month Visit - Hep A
2 1/2 Year Visit - Hep A
3 Year Visit - MMR, Varicella
4 Year Visit - Polio, DtaP
9 Year Visit - HPV
10 Year Visit - HPV
11 Year Visit - Tdap, MCV4
16 Year Visit - MCV4

Dr. Fradkin does not sign vaccine waivers. If a child has a medical condition or demonstrated a life threatening allergy to a vaccine or its components this should be addressed by a pediatric subspecialist such as an allergist or immunologist.
